JZ Aerial provided us with the great service during the 2013 flood. Jan Zalud and his team contacted us to see if our service could be of any assistance to us, and his timing was perfect. JZ Aerial provided great aerial shots in a very short period of time. We have found the aerials and the viewing tool invaluable in helping us analyze and formulate a plan of attack during this flood chaos. The aerials gave us an opportunity to measure areas for re-sodding fairways, determining the amount of sand we needed for bunkers, measuring cart paths affected, and generally viewing areas on the golf course in the off-season when we otherwise could not. This allowed our process to continue forward. In June of 2014 JZ Aerial will be back out to take another photo which will show where we are today. These before and after photos will serve our historical file; as well as contribute to our marketing program. There many applications for these aerials at a very cost-effective price. We had requested other aerial services, but there was no cost comparison; but more importantly the time and effort Jan and his team put into taking care of our specific needs and timing was exceptional. We look forward to using JZ Aerial in the future and learning about other applications that will benefit our golf course.

I am pleased to have the opportunity to recommend the work of JZAerial. As the President of XYC Design + Development, I hired Jan Zalud of JZAerial to photograph an inner-city development site in Calgary’s East Village. XYC is currently working on the design of a building for this site, called M2, with architects based in New York. M2 will be an exciting example of contemporary architecture in Calgary, and as part of the design process, we wanted to showcase the concept with great illustrations. JZAerial was able to communicate and work with architects in New York and the architectural rendering firm Mir, in Norway, to get the exact photographs that we required. Jan clearly and concisely explained the drone photography process, and his flexible scheduling and dedication to getting the perfect shots had him on site in Calgary multiple times. He made sure to get the right angle, atmosphere and a variety of light qualities that we requested. Even with the challenges of street closures, public events, and variable Calgary weather, JZAerial captured a beautiful set of photographs of a challenging lot. Jan was able to navigate adjacent construction sites and the Bow River, immediately to the north of the site, to get two particular shots that perfectly suited the design team’s needs. We would not have been able to produce such high quality illustrations of our project without his skill and attention to detail. Our experience in working with JZAerial was entirely positive. I look forward to having Jan back to M2 to document construction and the finished building. His photos have been integral to the imaging and marketing process, and XYC Design + Development will be returning to JZAerial for future projects in the Calgary Area.
